Transitioning Lifestyles.

So, I've had lots of fun thus far on my transition to veganism. I have to say, it is not at all as difficult as people like to make it seem... although it is a process. My body generally feels better, because I am being cleansed.

The majority of what I have been eating is non-GMO, organic, and raw. I keep track of what I consume and make sure I am getting everything that I need.

Additionally, I have a wonderful appreciation for Farmer's Markets! I happened to be in my home town, Studio City, Los Angeles, CA at the Farmer's Market they have there! It was ridiculously exciting! I love that place. Aside from the delicious organic, raw veggies I got (that the sweet vendors just GAVE to me, for Free!!) I also got these few mouth watering foods! Ugh, SO tasty!

Delicious! Also, I got some of "Dave's Dates" with coconut & almonds. They satisfy the sweet tooth naturally and fill you up quickly because they are jam-packed with fiber! Yes! Love it.

I decided today to begin a yoga routine in the mornings, and I an ever-so-happy about it. I stretch and move and work all day.
Yay for productivity!
Okay, so I'm writing this entry and trying to get everything else done at the same time... so I sound a little jumpy. Ooops.

Anywho... I went to Venice Beach 7/19/13 - 7/21/13 & It was, for the most part, amazing. I just love that place... That being said... here are a few pictures of someone's art that caught my eye. I'm in a bit of a rush right now.. so see you all later! :)

& To Begin...

My name is Diana, and this will be my first attempt at having a blog.  :)

I suppose I should say a little bit about myself before I begin. So, uh, here's my introductory post!

I am a full-time employee at Valley Animal Center, a no-kill shelter for dogs & cats, and have been for a couple of years now. I have been with my sweet, caring girlfriend Raniah since February 13, 2010 & I love her dearly. I recycle as much as I can, I love the ocean, DIY, cleanliness, making hygiene care products, fitness, health, and anything that has to do with bettering myself and the people around me if I can!

On November 25, 2012 I "officially" became a vegetarian, and it was so very easy for me as I had found myself avoiding meats for months & months before that.

On June 18, 2013 I quit smoking cigarettes, as I had been a smoker for 7 years before that at about a pack a day (if I wasn't drinking, if I was, it was more like 2).
I haven't had a single cigarette, or drag for that matter, since.

Then, on July 7, 2013 I made the decision to become a vegan, especially after watching Vegucated.

Basically, I decided to start this blog to vent, share, and just have a place to collect the nifty things I create, find and learn!

P.S. I really want to paint something similar to this!!
